Leadpages has some unique names for their features, so let’s go deeper into what some of those actually mean.

Leadpages Site Builder

While Leadpages is mainly a landing page software, they also offer the ability to create an entire website using their tools.

Landing Pages

This is what Leadpages is really known for. You can quickly and easily build beautiful landing pages that convert at a high rate.

They also include a template gallery of high converting options you can use to create your own pages with. This is great so you’re never starting from scratch and always have a template to go off of.

The template gallery is broken down by conversion percentage, industry, page type (webinar pages, thank you pages, checkouts, newsletter signups, etc.), and more. It’s really easy to find exactly what you’re looking for.

All of these templates are mobile responsive, so they work well on both mobile and desktop (and tablet!) sized screens.

Leadpages Pop-up Forms

Collecting email addresses is a critical part of any business. With Leadpages you can collect emails with their popup forms.

Now these aren’t just little annoying popups that jump out of all sides of the screen. With these popups, you can set them to come up:

  • Event Triggers – when someone clicks on a link, image, or button
  • Time Delays – show up after X seconds have passed
  • Exit Intent popups – when someone is getting ready to leave the page

These convert super well AND you can A/B test them if you sign up for the Pro plan level – more about A/b testing below.

Leadpages Alert Bars

What the heck is an alert bar you ask?

These work on both mobile and desktop screen sizes. These can include a link to send someone to a page, or sign up for your email list, or these can just be text alerts to let your audience know there is something coming.

You get analytics on each of these so you know who well they are converting too.

Leadpages Free Custom Domain (Annual pricing plans)

If you aren’t sure what custom domains are, prepare to get excited. These are essentially how you can set your landing pages up to live on your main website. This can be a subdomain, or even just the entire domain you own.

For example, I could setup a Leadpages subdomain on pages.hustletostartup.com, or I could setup a full website on hustletostartup.com.

Leadpages Free Hosting

When you setup a blog or website, you need to have a few things like a domain (yourwebsite.com) and hosting (how that domain is able to be accessed online).

Free hosting means that Leadpages will keep your website running without you needing to pay a hosting company, like Bluehost or BigScoots.

Lead Notifications

A Lead notification is the ability to get notified when someone signs up using a specific landing page or form.

When you’re starting to build your email list, these emails can be huge motivators for continuing to grow your audience.

Leadpages Integrations

Leadpages natively integrates with most email platforms:

  • ActiveCampaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • ConvertKit
  • Drip
  • Emma
  • GetResponse
  • iContact
  • Mailchimp

They also integrate with other helpful marketing tools:

  • Google Analytics
  • InfusionSoft by Keap
  • Salesforce
  • Hubspot
  • Marketo
  • Ontraport
  • Shutterstock
  • Zapier
  • Stripe
  • GoToWebinar
  • WebinarJam
  • WordPress

They also are linked with Zapier so they can integrate with 1000+ other applications.

Leadpages Online sales and payments

You can make sales and accept recurring payments through Leadpages Checkouts (credit card payments) which are powered by Stripe.

Leadpages Email Trigger links

Email trigger links are awesome. You can essentially send your email list a message and say “I have this new thing coming out, click here if you’re interested and I’ll keep you updated.” On the back end, you can tag those people who click the link, and once the product is ready you can send them a message specifically.

I’ve also used this to sign people up for a webinar I’ve run, or new email sequence I’ve created.

Unlimited A/B or Split Testing

Bring in the big guns – here is where the fun begins.

With A/B testing (aka split testing) you can test out different elements of your pages or forms to see which one drives more conversions. You can duplicate pages and swap out pieces of those pages to see what drives more conversions. This can be an image, a headline, button text – the possibilities are endless.

This is really helpful when you’re sending paid traffic (like Facebook ads) to your pages. Leadpages used to have an ad builder but it never really worked well for me, and so I’m thinking I wasn’t the only one having issues since they got rid of it in 2020.

Leadpages Opt-In Text Campaigns

Have you ever listened to the radio and heard them say “text the word “WIN” to 34524 to enter for a chance to win a 5 night cruise”? Those are the kinds of things you can setup with Leadpages Opt-In text campaigns.

These are great for podcasters or public speakers who have audiences that might not be at a computer when they are listening but want to capture those email address sign ups. This allows people to text a code to your specific number and they can quickly signup for your email list or freebie.

You get 10 of these campaigns included in the Pro plan for Leadpages and even more of them with the higher plans.

Leadpages Pricing & Plans

With any of these 3 plans, you’re getting a powerful landing page software tool and much more.

I’ve used Leadpages for client campaigns and my own web pages for years and it just works. It’s one of those tools that has withstood the test of time and really comes in handy all over the place.

Their customer service has always been helpful, even when I ask ridiculous questions. Their pricing plans are pretty straightforward, and I hope that explanation of the features was helpful.
