About Hustle to Startup

Hustle to Startup is a resource created for people who want more out of life – the ambitious, hard-working, kickass people who are ready to grow their business into something more sustainable.

We’re living in a time where most people graduate from college, get a decent job, work there for 30 years, or jump around between jobs to try and get a higher salary and feel unfulfilled the entire time.

But there are a growing number of us who want more for ourselves and our families – we want more out of life, work that makes us happy, and a way to remove the cap on how much money we can realistically make.

Welcome to the world of entrepreneurship.

Lucky for you we have a former side hustler and current business owner to help show you the ropes.

I’m here to create the ultimate resource for new entrepreneurs so that you don’t need to make a ton of unnecessary mistakes while building your own business.

I’m not here to show you how to get rich quick, or build a multi-million dollar eCommerce store in 90 days – because I think that’s garbage. You’re in the wrong place if that’s what you’re looking for.

Business success comes with hard work, focus, and consistency, and takes sheer time and will to get there.

This site combines my personal journey along with what I’m learning every day. While entrepreneurship can get super lonely, I am sharing my story so you don’t feel all alone in this epic journey.

After all, building a sustainable and amazing business is EPIC. Yes, pat yourself on the back for even attempting this – and now let’s get back to work.

Still Want to Know More?

This site was started as a way to share the daily struggles of entrepreneurs, through the eyes of people who are going through them right now.

The site wasn’t created for multi-millionaires to share their success stories and make you feel like crap, because you’re nowhere near achieving the success they have.

This site was made to share the exciting, shitty, and fear-inspired wins and losses entrepreneurs go through – the ones that happen before they ultimately fail or succeed.

We’re sick of hearing all of the good and very few of the bad stories. And of course, sick of hearing the bad stories AFTER they’ve happened, not during, when you get the real raw emotion and see what they did from a first-person view – not a “well I think this is what got me here” type of answer.

You’re going to hear about the boring financial stuff we have to learn, as well as the fun tools we get to use each day. Client invoicing, payment schedules, productivity, early mornings, hard work, selling your knowledge, building relationships, marketing, networking, and grinding to get your projects done.

Yes. All of that, and more.

The Woman Behind the Words

chenell tull

My name is Chenell Tull and I created Hustle to Startup. I’m a newer entrepreneur (June 1st, 2017 to be exact)…and I wanted a place to share what I’m learning, screwing up, and be able to help other people in the same position.

This is not a site about teaching you, (although we both will probably learn quite a bit), it’s about showing you what I’m trying and giving you insights on what worked and what didn’t so you can avoid the mistakes I’ve made, and move faster in creating your own business.

At the same time, I was sick of hearing from millionaires who have already made it telling us what they think was the reason they’re successful. It’s hard to take advice like “provide value” and turn it into a successful business.

So I’m going to share it all. And since I’m just getting started, I feel like it’s a great time to start sharing all my losses, mistakes, and hilarious missteps – maybe some wins too.
